paperback with the warm breath on my
back
Like mulch to the forest
And symbiosis our complexion
Since the ark of our affection
Unearthed, then tirelessly learned
Warm, cable fuzz, and autumnal rugs
Relearning the kind gesture
And slowly, with bathe and balm and soothing,
Healing the bitter burns bestowed
By a former companion
We're delight in sleep and touching,
The calm exterior of heat haze
to the passion of the forest conflagration
