Mulholland Skies

Mulholland Skies

round here we don't quite get
those Mulholland skies,
we don't quite get that beautiful.
and yes I kissed her in that flowered dress,
didn't she tell that I kissed her, cheek-to-cheek?
and though we're in sixteen millimetre,
she's in thirty five
and didn't she tell you that I love her?
That dress she wears conceals a bulge
and she wears it just for me,
I know that even if it's cloudy
she'll wear that dress for me
and let me kiss her,
cheek-to-cheek, just too softly

down here we don't quite get
three strip process, synchronised for sound,
nor those Mulholland skies
